RauwCC · Virtual brand ambassador

Meet Biek—the Rotterdam colleague who never clocks off.

We turned RauwCC founder Maarten into a useful, animated brand colleague: built to answer, qualify and carry the agency’s character far beyond a chat window.

The brief

A chatbot can know everything and still feel like nobody.

RauwCC is a creative agency with an outspoken culture. A generic support bot would have answered questions, but it would not have shown clients what the agency believes about AI: technology works better when it feels human, specific and unmistakably yours.

So the assignment became larger than a widget. Build a virtual colleague that could carry the agency’s voice, create a useful route through the conversation and become a visible piece of the brand itself.

01

Culture before novelty

Biek had to feel unmistakably RauwCC: direct, warm, a little rebellious and grounded in Rotterdam.

02

Useful before impressive

The character needed to answer real questions, shape an early brief and create a clear route to the human team.

03

An asset, not an island

The same 3D identity had to work in the website experience, social content and physical brand moments.

From Maarten to Biek

Recognizable enough to feel familiar. Abstract enough to belong to the brand.

The first idea was a digital version of founder Maarten Reijgersberg. Biek keeps the cues people know—the beard, glasses, cap and Rotterdam energy—but turns them into a more flexible character RauwCC can use as its own ambassador.

  • Signature beard and glasses
  • RauwCC cap and varsity silhouette
  • Friendly, straight-talking delivery
  • Expressions built for conversation

Part chatbot. Part colleague.

Built to feel at home inside RauwCC.

The conversation

One colleague. Three jobs.

Biek’s personality earns the first message. The conversation design then moves from a low-pressure opening to context the agency can actually use.

Hoi. I’m Biek—the digital colleague who knows RauwCC from beard to brainstorm.

We need a campaign idea people actually want to talk about.

Nice. Tell me who it is for and what needs to change. We’ll make the first step useful.

Ask Biek anything
  1. 01

    Spark

    Open the conversation

Biek lowers the threshold with personality, local references and prompts that are easier to answer than a blank contact form.

  2. 02

    Brief

    Turn curiosity into context

The agent can explore the visitor’s question, capture useful project context and surface relevant RauwCC expertise.

  3. 03

    Handshake

    Bring in the right human

When a conversation becomes commercial, Biek creates a clear next step to RauwCC instead of ending with another generic answer.

What we built

A complete character system under the smile.

The visible character is only the front end. Underneath it sits the motion, knowledge, interface and reporting layer needed to make Biek useful today and easier to improve tomorrow.

3D character and motion

A recognizable model, rig and animation library designed for real-time use.

Responsive chatbot widget

A complete conversational experience that performs across desktop and mobile.

Voice and knowledge

RauwCC’s services, attitude and approved information shaped into one consistent colleague.

Conversation analytics

A portal for reviewing usage, topics, sentiment and the questions behind demand.

A model RauwCC could use

We did not lock Biek inside the widget.

We provided the 3D character model for RauwCC’s own content production. The agency then took Biek into its world and made this promo film—proof that the system can keep growing in the hands of the client.

The character goes live

From the browser to the main stage.

At UX Rotterdam, RauwCC presented Biek as its virtual brand ambassador. The character appeared in the talk and as a live chatbot at the event—an experience people could see, test and talk about in the same room.

The result

A useful chatbot became a living brand asset.

Biek gives RauwCC a visible way to practice what it tells clients: AI can be helpful without becoming anonymous. The same character now connects conversation, brand expression, client education and campaign content.

  • Always availableQuestions and first briefs can start at any moment.
  • Built to learnConversation reporting reveals what visitors ask and where interest appears.
  • Ready to travelOne character can move from website to social content and live events.
